Sue Patterson

     Funeral services for Sue Patterson of Hugo will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2004, at Bethel Acres Assembly Church with Rev. Lonnie Hurst officiating. Interment will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
Mrs. Patterson died Saturday, August 7, 2004, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. She was 74.
     Sue Patterson was born April 6, 1930 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of David & Libby (Peltier) Coots. She married L.D. "Pat" Patterson on October 28, 1946 in Chandler, Oklahoma. She worked as a house mother for Girlstown in Tecumseh for 25 years before moving to Hugo about one year ago to be near family. She was a member of the Hugo Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: L.D. Patterson on January 1, 2003; one son: Dale Loyd in 1990; four brothers: Jake Coots, Clarence Coots, Herman Joe Coots, and Ervin Coots; two sisters: Jen Whitten and Barb Coots.
     Surviving relatives: two sons and daughter-in-law, Doyle & Terri Patterson of Hugo, Darrell Patterson of Shawnee; sister, Margie Jacobs of Bartlesville; numerous nieces and nephews; six grandchildren, Jeremiah and wife April Patterson of Shawnee, Ace Patterson serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq, Mace Patterson of Lincoln, Neb., Misty and husband Shane Stevens of Coweta, Destiny and husband Brandon Pierce of Beggs; seven great-grandchildren: Desiree, Jordyn, Jasmyn, Christian, Caleb, Lauren, and Lindsay.
     The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. The family will have visitation at Bethel Acres Assembly Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
     Services under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home, Hugo.
