Small Girl Dies In Paris Hospital
The Hugo Daily News September 10, 1939 – transcribed by Ron Henson
Irene Lee McAlester, two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe McAlester, 808 West Jackson street, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Sanitarium of Paris where she was taken two days earlier for treatment.
Funeral services will be Monday but the place and hour have not been announced.
Rites Held Today For Small Girl

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J.W. Mayne in the First Methodist church this afternoon for Irene Lee McAlester, two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe R. McAlester, 808 West Jackson street. Burial was in Mount Olivet cemetery under the direction of the Snow funeral home.
The small girl died at noon Saturday in the Sanitarium of Paris following a brief illness. She was born December 4, 1937.
Pall Bearers were: R. C. Yancey, A.P. Rue, C.H. Davidson and Claude Mitchell.
