Elvis Dewayne Beasley

Elvis Dewayne Beasley, age 48 of Kent, passed away August 1, 2005 at the Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was born on January 12, 1957 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Elvis Bryant Beasley and Bobbie (Campbell) Beasley.

Elvis has lived in the Kent area most of his life, moving there in 1970 as a young man. He married Donna Evans on July 4, 1977 at the Kent Baptist Church in the Kent Community. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Kent Baptist Church. Elvis served on the Soper School Board, Choctaw County Livestock Board and on the Advisory Committee of ESOC. He loved to garden, hunt and fish and enjoyed watching the kids play baseball, softball and basketball. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elvis Bryant Beasley, his brother, William Bryant Beasley and his grandparents.

Elvis is survived by his loving wife, Donna Beasley of the home; his cherished children, Alicia (Beasley) Mack and husband Jeramey of Kent, Jeromy Beasley of the home and Morgan Beasley of the home. He also leaves behind his mother, Bobbie Beasley of Kent; his brothers, Rodney Beasley of Abilene, Texas and Richard Beasley of Kent; his sisters, Linda Dunn of Hobbs, N.M. and Rhonda Beasley of Kent. Elvis leaves one grandchild, Bryce Mack of Kent.

Funeral Services were at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Soper Gymnasium with Tim Harless officiating. Interment was in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Arrangements with Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers.
