Clark Conley “Corky” Colclasure

Funeral services for Clark Conley “Corky” Colclasure, 70, of Hallsville, Texas, were held graveside at Hallsville City Cemetery on July 14, 2005 at 10 a.m. with a Masonic Service by the Pine Tree Lodge No. 1396 of Longview. Services were under the direction of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home in Marshall.

Clark Conley “Corky” Colclasure went to be with his Lord on July 12, 2005. He was born the fourth child to Otis Vernon Colclasure and Lillie Kathrynne Islinger Colclasure on November 13, 1934, in Fort Towson, Oklahoma. He married Nancy Mizell on April 12, 1964, in Kilgore. Clark served his country as a Marine in the Korean War and later as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed in Fort Chafee, Ark. and later in Alaska. He was a member of the Masons Pine Tree Lodge No. 1396 and member of LeTourneau Inc. 25 Year Club.

Mr. Colclasure was preceded in death by his two brothers; one sister; and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Colclasure of Hallsville, Texas; son, Walter Vernon Colclasure of Henderson, Texas; daughter, Nancy Kay Whitaker of Hallsville, Texas; granddaughter, Elizabeth Whitaker of Hallsville, Texas; grandson, Nick Whitaker of Hallsville, Texas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and William Welch of Kilgore, Texas; nephew, Philip Welch of Kilgore, Texas; and his life-long friends, James and Ellen Horton of Fort Towson, Okla. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Craig, James Mizell, Roger Mizell, Johnny McCracken, Eric Sypert, R.L. Whitaker, Jason Sypert, William “Bill” Stephens, James “Woodie” Woodul, and Clarence Sypert. Special thanks go to Kim, Linda, and the nurses of Greater Hospice of Texas and chaplains. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society; Greater Hospice of Texas, P.O. Box 9725, Longview, TX 75608; or your favorite charity.
