Mrs. Louise M. Cole

     Funeral services for Mrs. Louise M. Cole, 97, will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Hugo, OK. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 - 8 PM on Tuesday evening, August 3, 2004, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Haughton, LA., and Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, Okla.
     Mrs. Cole passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2004 at the Garden Court Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Oscar C. Cole; mother and step-father, Kate and Walter Garner; sister, Velma Wilkins; brother, Lewis Garner; great-grandson, Andrew Forest Guilfoyle and daughter-in-law, Jean A. Cole.
     Left to cherish her memory are her son, Gene Cole of Tewsbury, MA.; daughters, Billie Wood and husband, Harvey of Bossier City, LA., Mona Jo Linville and husband, Ray of Duncan, OK.; sister-in-law, Mildred Castleman of Hugo, OK.; grandchildren, Jerry and Ricky Wood, Vickie Warnock, Melissa Padgham, Melinda Guilfoyle, Randy Cole and Linda Grandfield; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Mrs. Cole was a wonderful cook, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and a Godly Christian woman. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
     The family would like to express their thanks to the Corner Stone Hospital staff, to Life Path Hospice and to the nurses and staff of Garden Court Nursing Center.
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Hugo, Ok., or to Barksdale Baptist Church, Bossier City, LA.
