Harry Lee Colgin

Harry Lee Colgin, 85, of Hugo, Okla., passed away at Paris Regional Medical Center, Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received him into their care.

The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, at the funeral home. Services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2005, in New Baden, Ill.

Harry, the son of Lee G. and Ruth E. Dickenson Colgin, was born on March 11, 1920 in Hogtown, Texas. He graduated from Leon, Kansas, High School in 1939. He married Hallie J. Carringer in 1944 in Ironton, Mo. He worked as a machinist for Caterpillar Corporation. He loved to ride motorcycles and fishing. He also enjoyed reading.

Mr. Colgin is survived by two sons; Bruce A. Colgin and wife Rachel, of Peoria, Ill., and Donald R. Colgin and wife Sandy, of Oceanside, Calif.; one daughter, Sharon Levy, Studio City, Calif.; one brother, Ray Colgin and wife Donna of Hugo, Okla.; one sister, Helen Foster and husband Giv of Barefoot Bay, Fla., along with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
