Rachel died Monday, August 2, 2004 in Soper. She was 51.

     Funeral services for Rachel Louise Lynn of Soper were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004, at First Baptist Church of Soper with Rev. Greg Hammack officiating. Interment was in Soper Cemetery.
     Mrs. Lynn died Monday, August 2, 2004, at her residence in Soper. She was 51.
     Rachel Louise Lynn was born March 30, 1953 in Beeville, Texas, the daughter of Virgil Higgins and Zella Ford. She married C.J. Lynn on August 20, 1982 in Durant. She moved to this area from Kernes, Texas and lived in Bokchito for six years before moving to Soper about nine years ago. She was a member of the Soper First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her dad, an Aunt, and her Grandmother.
     Surviving relatives: Husband, C.J. Lynn of Soper; one daughter, Kathy Annette Lynn of Soper; one son, John Anthony Tong of Fairfax, Va.; three step-daughters, Vickie Horn of Atoka, Jackie Cooksey of Lehigh, Robin Smith of Ada; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Jefferies of Clarksville, Tenn., Mala Marshall Higgins of Sherwood Shores, Texas; two stepbrothers, Graylon Lee Ford of Maypearl, Texas, Harold Hayes Ford of Midlothian, Texas; mother, Zella Ford of Soper; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
