Hattie Ruth (Pierson) Makerney

    Funeral services for Hattie Ruth Makerney will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Darrough Pavilion at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
    Mrs. Makerney died on Jan. 26 at the age of 83.
    Mrs. Makerney was born Sept. 22, 1910 in Holdenville, OK to William Claud and Sara Catherine (Dennis) Pierson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coke Makerney, Sr. Mrs. Makerney had lived in the Sawyer community for 33 years.
    Surviving relations include four sons, Coke Makerney, Jr. of Guthrie, OK., Carlton Lee Makerney of Sawyer, Bryan Makerney of Sawyer, and Joe Bert Makerney of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a daughter Patsy Louise Perry of Okla. City, OK; 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
    Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
