Nellie Jane White

Last Wednesday night at 10 o'clock the Angel of death visited the home of Reverend J.W. White at the Methodist parsonage and claimed the sweet companion, wife and mother who for twenty-four years had been the sunshine of the home, the guiding benefactor and guardian of the lambs, of a happy union.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church on Thursday the eight conducted by Rev. O.C. Fontain of Durant after which the remains of Mrs. Nellie Jane White were laid to rest in the Boswell Cemetery.
It is a natural consequence for all of us to pass from hence to whither, but 'tis sweet consolation to know we shall meet again our loved ones in some future state in the higher, the nobler and more exalted cycles of the court of our Father and creator.
We know the pain and anguish of parting with loved ones for we have drunk of the bitterness of separation. To the bereaved loved ones we extend our condolence as our heart beats in human compassion and pity with theirs.
We weep with them because their is a unity of kinship built upon the fellowship of God and we know their is a union, when we think the thought sublime, 'Twixt nature's God and mine.
