Stephen Douglas Pitt

Stephen Douglas Pitt, age 34, of Spencerville, passed away on August 13, 2005, in Rattan. He was born on August 30, 1970 in Hugo to Hal Pitt and Martha Jo Stammen. He had lived in the Spencerville area for the last nine years after moving back from Roseburg, Oregon.

Stephen enjoyed hunting, fishing and looking for arrowheads. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and playing with the children. He was a kind person and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hylo and Evie Pitt.

Stephen is survived by his father, Hal Pitt and step-mother Shirley of Spencerville; mother, Martha Jo Stammen and step-father Phil of Roseburg, Ore.; daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Cox of California; brothers, Todd Pitt and wife Sammye of Spencerville, Michael Stammen of Roseburg, Ore.; sister, Lindsey Thornton and husband Joe of Oakland, Ore.; grandparents, Lloyd and Ollie Hawkins of Apple; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

There will be a private memorial service held by Stephen’s family.
