Florence Grace Sinclair

Funeral services for Florence Grace Sinclair of Hugo were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Sinclair officiating. Interment was in Springs Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Sinclair died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Hugo Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 84.Florence Grace Sinclair was born May 27, 1921 in Valdosta, Georgia, the daughter of David & Alice (Thornton) Moore. She married Donald Sinclair on October 27, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was a very dedicated volunteer at the Choctaw Memorial Hospital gift shop, where she put in over 7,000 hours. She loved to cook and could put a meal together out of anything she had on hand. She loved sewing and even hand quilted quilts for all of her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with all of her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be missed and remembered by all. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Licille Michael and Rena Walters. Surviving relatives: Husband, Donald Sinclair of Hugo; six children, Robert Sinclair of Carthage, Tenn., Alice Jackson of Apple, Jeri Howser of Hugo, Ruth Mazzare of Hugo, Rev. Jack Sinclair of Brownsville, Tenn., Karen Hinsley of Soper; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Moore of Omaha, Neb., Quentin Edris of Terre Haute, Ind.

The family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Choctaw County Hospital Auxiliary Nurses Scholarship Program.

The family received friends Friday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as pallbearers were: Tommy Stavley, Troy Jackson Jr., Joseph Howser, Bob Howser, John Sinclair, Michael Sinclair, and Mark Sinclair.
