Mrs. Vancil Passes; Funeral Services To Be Held in Sawyer

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Price Vancil, 97 year old long-time Sawyer resident, will be held today at 3 p.m., at the Church of Christ in Sawyer with Barrett Fellows officiating and interment in the Sawyer cemetery.

Coffey Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Mrs. Vancil passed away at the home of her son, C.C. Vancil, 901 West Duke St., Hugo, on Saturday morning. She was born on October 14, 1853, in Missouri, and had lived in Choctaw County for the past 50 years.

She is survived by the following children: C.C. Vancil, Hugo; Mrs. Fannie Kelly, Hugo; F.M. Vancil, Clarksville, Texas; Bob Vancil, Ft. Worth, Texas; Mrs. Nannie Vancil Carter, Kerrville, Texas, along with 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

The News joins with her many friends in expressing condolence to the relatives of the deceased.
