Betty Weber & Grant Weber
The Hugo Daily News January 5, 1950 – transcribed by Ron Henson
Two Choctaw County Citizens Found Dead in California
Two of three former Oklahomans reported to have died of asphyxiation in California Sunday, formerly lived in Choctaw County.
They are Miss Betty Weber, 30, and her brother, Grant Weber, 17, who with their parents, formerly lived on the Johnny Moore place, half a mile south of Fort Towson. The family later lived on a farm between Hugo and Boswell. Miss Weber taught school at Swink.
According to word received here, the bodies of the sister and brother and that of Miss Emma Doris Stone, were found in their apartment in Vallejo, Calif. The two women were school teachers. Officers say the three had been dead about 25 hours when found.
