Royce Wisener, Jr.

A memorial service for Gilford Royce Wisener, Jr., of Spencerville, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Victory Assembly of God Church in Rattan with Steve Smallwood officiating. Interment will be at a later date.

Mr. Wisener died Sunday, July 24, 2005, in Paris, Texas. He was 62.

Gilford Royce Wisener, Jr., was born on June 27, 1943 in Hugo to Gilford Royce and Jewel Lee (Richards) Wisener, Sr. He married Claudine Watts. He had lived in this area all of his life and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a retired truck driver and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was hard working and never met a stranger and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one infant daughter Royce Ann Wisener.

He is survived by his wife, Claudine Wisener of the home; two sons, Mike Wisener of Hugo and Patrick Wisener of Ft. Towson; one step-son, David Phillips of Atoka; two daughters, Elizabeth Wisener of Hugo and Amanda Wisener of Ft. Riley, Kan.; five step-daughters, Peggy Hedrick of Spencerville, Barbara Talley of Perry, Missie Watts of Atoka, Gail Earthman of Sawyer and Lisa Meredith of Atoka; four brothers, Homer Wisener of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Larry Wisener of Lubbock, Texas, Keith Wisener of Hugo, and Danny Wisener of New Mexico; 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
