Services for Robert H. Workman will be Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 10 a.m. in the Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel in Hugo.
Mr. Workman died Sunday, August 1, 2004 in Hugo. He was 81.
Robert H. Workman was born June 24, 1923 in LeFlore, Okla., the son of Jeppsy and Fannie Workman and lived most of his life in the Boswell area. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Jacob "Jake" Workman, Walter Workman and Leonard Workman; one sister, Lenor Hill and four grandchildren.
A veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Pentecostal faith, Mr. Workman was a retired logger.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Louise Workman; seven sons: Bobby Carl Workman, Powderly, Texas, Larry "Wayne" Workman, Darrell Workman, Tommy Workman and Randy Workman of Soper, Okla., James Workman of Arthur City, Texas, Quitin Workman of Arthur City, Texas; three daughters: June Sales of Paris, Texas, Linda Workman, Soper, Okla., and Brenda Workman, Hugo; one brother, Luther Workman of Hugo; two sisters: Flora Pilkington of Hugo, and Ruby Lockaby of Keota, Okla.; 28 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 at the funeral home.
Sister Georgia Harrison will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Grant Cemetery, Grant, Okla., under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
