BORN: JANUARY 28, 1915 DIED: JULY 10, 2001

Lola Mae Alvey, 86, formerly of Pampa, Texas, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, in Hedley, Texas.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2001, in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Alvey was born Jan. 28, 1915, in Fort Towson, Ok. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1952, moving to Hedley in 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Freda Morris of Huntsville and Alma Lamberson of Hedley; a son, Jim Alvey of Wheeler; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1981, Pampa, TX 79066-1981; or First United Methodist Church of Hedley.
