COFFMAN, LUCILE (FITZPATRICK)

Lucile Coffman, 85, formerly of Fort Towson, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at her daughter’s residence in Arkansas City, Kansas. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Fort Towson Cemetery Chapel. The family will greet friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Hugo, Oklahoma.

Lucile was born August 21, 1916, in Sweet Home (McCurtain County) Oklahoma, to Henry Young and Clare Edith (Finley) Fitzpatrick. She was reared and educated in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, graduating from Lone Wolf High School in 1935. Lucile married Thomas Henry Coffman on March 15, 1935 in Mangum, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Fort Towson for many years. Lucile was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Fort Towson Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Harold and wife Francine Coffman of Irving, Texas; three daughters Ann and husband Vernon Vitosh of Coalgate, Oklahoma, Joyce and husband Teddy Jantzen of Canton, Oklahoma, and Beth and husband Kenneth Czaplinski of Arkansas City, Kansas; two brothers Vernon Fitzpatrick of Hayward, California, Bill Fitzpatrick of Modesto, California; one sister-in-law Bea Fitzpatrick of Hugo, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold in 1985, two brothers John and Guy Fitzpatrick.

Arrangements are being made by the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
