COLLIER, CHARLOTTE ANN “LOTTIE” (HARGROVE)

Graveside services for Charlotte Ann “Lottie” Collier, 88, former Plainview resident, were at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Temple Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial arrangements were by Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, Okla.

Mrs. Collier died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, in Waurika, Okla.

She was born June 1, 1911, in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of the late Walter F. and Lillie Mae Evans Hargrove.

She moved from Hugo to Temple in 1925 and to Plainview in 1950. She was a cook at Hillcrest Elementary School and also worked at First National Bank. She was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church. In 1993, she returned to Temple. She enjoyed sewing, raising roses and watching the Atlanta Braves.

On Jan. 11, 1935, she married R.C. “Sammy” Collier in Temple. He died May 11, 1969.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Don and Gary Don; two daughter, Susan Collier and Jackie Calkins; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
