BORN: NOVEMBER 17, 1905 DIED: JANUARY 14, 2001

Bertha Fae Collins, 95, of Hugo died Monday, Jan. 14, 2001, in Antlers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Otis Cayton and the Rev. Craig Dietert officiating. Burial will be in Shoat Springs Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer.

She was a retired school teacher and taught in Choctaw County 41 years. She started teaching in a one room school and many times came to school in a horse-drawn buggy and by horseback. During her teaching career, she was named Choctaw County Teacher of the Year.

Surviving are a nephew, Raymond Spears, and other nephews and nieces and friends.
