BORN: JUNE 15, 1972 DIED: DECEMBER 27, 2000

Shane Houser, 28, of Fort Towson and a former resident of Valliant, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, in Watermill Freewill Baptist Church in Valliant. Burial will be in Valliant Cemetery under direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Valliant.

He was born June 15, 1972, in DeQueen, Ark., a son of Mark Houser and Ree (Cone) Houser and had lived all his life in the Valliant area. He graduated from Valliant High School and attended Oklahoma State University, obtaining an associates degree in biology.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his parents; a daughter, Haley Lynn Houser of Ashdown, Ark.; a brother, Brandon Houser of Valliant; paternal grandfather, Doc Houser of Valliant; maternal grandparents, R.L. and Caroline Cone of Floresville; a niece and several aunts and uncles.
