INGE, CHESTER WILLIAM

Chester William Inge, 76, of Odessa, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 20, 2001.

He was born May 6, 1925, in Sawyer, Oklahoma. He married Sybil Christopher on March 27, 1943, in Hugo, Oklahoma.

He proudly served his country as a World War II Army veteran. He was owner and operator of Chester Inge Welding Inc.

Chester was a longtime member and deacon at Northside Baptist Church in Odessa.

He loved to sing gospel music and sang in the church choir and quartet until his death. He was a kind, generous and loving man who will be missed by many. Rest assured he is already singing in heaven.

Survivors are his wife, Sybil of Odessa; three sons, Jim Inge and wife Diana of Fort Worth, Ron Inge and wife Melissa of Odessa and Marty Inge and wife Adriana of Midland; three daughters, Betty Hinnant and husband Bob of Aztec, N.M., Judy Inge of Odessa and Jan Williamson and husband Wes of Euless; and brother, Melvin Inge of Fort Towson, Okla. Chester is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Kristi Boden, Alan Hinnant, Steven Hinnant, Jason Inge, Chris Inge, Reed Smithson, Laurie Smithson, Trey Williamson, Alex Inge and Stephani Garcia and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Clydel Chapman and Glenn Harlin officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be George Bingham, Eric Freeman, John Lewis, Kenneth Spradley, Arlie Jones and Mike Wright. Other deacons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
