LANTROOP, LANE K.

BORN: SEPTEMBER 20, 1907 DIED: FEBRUARY 25, 1981
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 1, 1981 in the Cheyenne Methodist Church for Lane K. Lathrop, 73, Ft. Towson, Oklahoma, with Homer Williams officiating. Interment was in the Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
Mr. Lathrop was born September 20, 1907 to Charlie and Narcissa Lathrop in Old Cay County, Oklahoma. He grew up around Strong City and attended high school there.
In 1937 he married Hazel Deal and moved to Hugo. Mr. Lathrop was in the Navy during World War II. The Lathrops made their home in California until 1979 when they returned to Oklahoma making their home in Ft. Towson. He passed from this life on February 25, 1981 in the Veterans Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Survivors include his wife of the home address; 1 daughter, Carol Bright, Union, South Carolina; 1 grandson, Allan Bright, Union; 1 sister, June Edwards, Hobbs, New Mexico, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were nephews, Mansell Millburn, Duncan; Jack LaRue, Gainsville, Texas; Delbert Barton, Ratliff City; Bob Berry, Oklahoma City; J.B. Knoght, Farmington, New Mexico, and Dean Knight, Phoenix, Arizona.
Honorary pallbearers where, Lynn Milburn, Duncan; Dennis Davis, Velma; Johnny Leach, Cheyenne; Manuel Henlsey, Earl Archer, and Delmar Robinson of Strong City.
Rose Chapel Funeral Service was in charge of arrangement.
