Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Petty, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lazbuddie Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona.

Mrs. Menefee was born on Jan. 15, 1917, near Anna. In 1930, her family moved to the Lazbuddie community where she attended school and was active in basketball and other sports. The couple farmed for several years and moved to Corpus Christi before moving back to Friona.

Mrs. Menefee became a Christian at an early age and continued to be active in church all her life. One of her greatest joys after family was her church friends and families. She enjoyed doing nice things for others, had a ready smile and was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dwain Menefee and wife, Danny, of Fort Towson, Okla., and Keith Menefee and wife, Sherrie, of San Antonio; a daughter, Carolyn Buchanan of Lubbock; two sisters, Dortha Lee Seaton of Lazbuddie and Sarah Donnell of Richwood; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Vista Care Family Hospice, 4418 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072.
