James Mitchell, 17, of Hugo, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003 in an automobile accident.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at First Assembly of God Church in Hugo with the Rev. Jerry Cooper and the Rev. Keno King officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Mount Olive Funeral Home of Hugo.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday in the Mount Olive Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born Sept. 10, 1986, in Paris, the son of Les C. and Angela Searles Mitchell. He attended Fort Towson High School in Fort Towson, Okla. He loved music and being with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parental grandmother, Rose Mitchell in 2002, and maternal grandfather James D. Searles in 1991.

He is survived by his parents; brother, Leslie Mitchell; sisters Traci Mitchell and Deryll Searles; maternal grandmother, Billie Jo Searles, all of Hugo; paternal grandfather, Haskel Mitchell of Durant, Okla.; loving companion, Kimberly Cochran of Swink, Okla.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
