William Lee “Shorty“ Mote, 33, of Idabel, formerly of Fort Towson, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, Idabel.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Fort Towson Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Mutt Wallace officiating. Miller and Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Surviving are his wife, Kim; two children, Joseph Mote and Kendra Mote, both of the home; his father and stepmother, William and Dorothy Mote of Fort Towson; one brother, Donald Ray Mote of Fort Towson; and one sister, Sussie Fay Escalera of Denton; and his grandparents, Faye and Elmer Crawford of Lake Dallas, Texas.
