Services for Virginia House “Deanie” Nix, formerly of Hugo, were Nov. 30, 2002 at the Rabenhorst Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Virginia, a resident of Baton Rouge, La. died Nov. 28, 2002 at Our Lady of the Lake regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and a brother.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Harvey Nix of Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter, Marta Long of Baton Rouge, La.; one son, Billy Nix of Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters, Sara Herman of Cape Coral, Fla. and Sue Hopkins of Hugo; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
