Elva “Dink” Peebles, 84, of Fort Towson, Okla., died Friday, June 6, 2003.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Corinth Baptist Church of Fort Towson with the Rev. Troy Ruffin and the Rev. Bennie Hammonds officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Towson Cemetery under the direction of Miller and Miller Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Klondike.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Peebles, two daughters, Jean Setzer of Lawton, Okla., and Elvie Jo “Sissie” Peebles of Fort Towson; one sister, Ruth Goodwin of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
