DIED: FEBRUARY 8, 2004

L.L. “Lester” Perkins, 81, of Garvin, Okla., died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, in a Dallas hospital.

Mr. Perkins was born Jan. 14, 1923, in Millerton, Okla.

He was retired from Oklahoma State Department of Highways and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by four children.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Claudine and Frank Horner of Millerton and Kathleen and Charlie Causey of Valliant, Okla.; one sister, Loren Ballard of Sweet Home, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Millerton Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Cockerham officiating. Burial will be in Wheelock Cemetery under direction of Jim Norwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
