PUTNEY, MAGGIE LEE (HANKINS)

DIED: FEBRUARY 13, 2005
Mrs. Maggie Lee Putney, age 88, of Batavia, a houseparent at the New York State School For The Blind who retired in 1982, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at United Memorial Medical Center.
Mrs. Putney was born February 1, 1917 in Fort Towson, OK, a daughter of the late Levi and Sarah Garland Hankins.
A member of the First United Methodist Church of Batavia, Mrs. Putney was a member of the Church´s Ingrahm Class. She was a former real estate agent and a longtime hairdresser.
Mrs. Putney is survived by her son, Timothy (LeeAnn) Tyler of Batavia; her grandson, Brian (Kelly) Tyler; two granddaughters, Melissa and Megan Tyler and her great-granddaughter, Katlyn Tyler.
She was the sister of the late Nova (Rosco) Criswell and Bessie (Wesley) Priest.
There are no prior calling hours. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery.
