DIED: MAY 23, 1977

Services for Mrs. Mattie May Ramsey, 80, of Caddo Mills will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Caddo Mills with Rev. James Thigpen and M. E. McGinn officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Mrs. Ramsey died early Monday morning, May 23, 1977, at her home in Caddo Mills.

Born Sept. 11, 1896 in Fort Towson, Okla., she was the daughter of Joe and Josie Bell Neal Milton. She married Thomas Gilford Ramsey in 1919. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Caddo Mills Chapter No. 82 Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Ramsey of Caddo Mills and Clarence Ramsey of Greenville, two grandchildren, Brenda Flowers of Forest City, Ark. and Gerald Vansicle of Greenville; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 27, 1954, three sons and a daughter.

Pallbearers will be John Penberton, Jr., Tommy Griggs, J.B. Long, Bus Newman, Buel Bentley and Jerry Wood.
