BORN: FEBRUARY 2, 1914
DIED: SEPTEMBER 14, 1990
James A. Ruffin, 76, of Valliant, passed away Friday, September 14, 1990 at the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel.
He was a mechanic, a veteran of World War II and affiliated with Felker Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 16 at Felker Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Herbert Davis and Rev. Bob Mantooth officiated and burial was in Moran Cemetery under The direction of Huckleberry Funeral Service of Valliant.
Survivors include his wife, Georgie, of the home; three sons, Troy and Jim of Wright City and Gordon of Ft. Towson; two daughters, Minnie Bea Harroway of Wichita Falls, TX and Yvette Hicks of Valliant; three step-sons, Terry Mitchell of Dierks, AR, Jerry Mitchell of Valliant and Charles Mitchell of Dallas, TX; three step-daughters, Lola Mae Mussett of Rufe, Shirley Provence of Rufe and Priscilla Christopher of Dierks, AR; three brothers, Sherman Ruffin of Ft. Worth, Earl Ruffin of Ft. Worth and Richard Ruffin of Moses Lake, WA; two sisters, Bea Stuart of Ringold, Effie Stephens of Oroville, CA; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
