DIED: FEBRUARY 14, 2005
Mable Lorene Ruffin, 74, a seamstress, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at her home. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Moran Cemetery in Valliant, Oklahoma under the direction of Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Ruffin was born in Atoka, Oklahoma, and had been an area resident since the early 1950s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Ruffin, on Dec. 13, 1992; and a daughter, Earlene Oldner, on April 23, 1987.
Survivors include her children, John Robert “Bob” Ruffin and wife Nancy of Boyd, Alvin Earl Ruffin and wife Judy, of Burleson, Mary Lorene Rutledge and her husband, Randy, of Azle, William Eugene “Gene” Ruffin and his wife, Kathy, of Haslet; brother, Edward Bowlin of Purcell, Oklahoma; sisters, Elizabeth Autry of Phoenix, Arizona, Matador Horn and Barbara Burt of Marysville, Washington; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
