Graveside services for J.G. Runyan, 86, of Midland will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Evergreen Cemetery under direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton.

Runyan died Friday, Oct. 3, 1997, in New Braunfels.

He was born April 4, 1911, in Sawyer, Okla. He had lived in Midland for 40 years. He married Eunice Johnson on Dec. 19, 1932, in Knox City. She died July 10, 1996.

He worked for Schlumberger for 35 years until retiring.

Survivors include four sons, Travis and Royce, both of Elk City, Okla., Troy of Canyon Lake and Danny of Odessa; two daughters, Janett Casbeer of Midland and Sharon Smith of Lewisville; two sisters, Faye Carlson of Mineola and Opal Steffans of Seguin; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
