SCATES, GRACE ORA

DIED: NOVEMBER 3, 1998

Grace Ora Scates, 91, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Church of Christ with Lydal Werner and the Rev. John Spangler, minister of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery in Kirkland by Price-Jackson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scates was born in Swink, Okla. She was a homemaker who lived in Hardeman County most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She married James Perdue Scates in 1922 at Lazare.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960 and a daughter, Cleo Daniels.

Survivors include a son, Tex Scates of Amarillo; two daughters, Leona Trammell and Rosie Honea, both of Quanah; three sisters, Bernice Macintosh of California and Leva King and Bessie Cotton, both of Chickasha, Okla.;
13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
