WATSON, MARIE (NORMAN)

DIED: JULY 12, 2002

Marie Watson, 88, of Cunningham, left her family and friends here on earth to join her family and friends on the other side, Friday, July 12, 2002, at Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. today, July 14, in Life Tabernacle Church of Cunningham. Burial will be made in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

She was born Oct. 17, 1913 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Marshall T. and Berchie Trout Norman.

On Dec. 14, 1928, she married Odis Watson in Sulphur, Okla. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1995.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Eugene Norwood; a brother, Delbert Norman; and two sisters, Elsie Roddy and Edith Smith.

She is survived by her brother, Ira Norman of Oklahoma; daughters: Geneva Norwood, Nelta Musgrove and Johnny, all of Cunningham; her son, Harold Dean Watson and wife Ada of Paris; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Watson of Paris; grandchildren, Neva Jean Oats and Billy Ray of Cunningham, and their family Georjeana Nutt and Brad, Brandon Oats and Marsha Brayden and Kaylee; Frankie Norwood and Julie of Cunningham, and their family Logan, Layton and Caleb, Scotty Norwood and Treda of Cunningham, and their family Spur and Amber, Stacy Musgrove and wife Linda of Cunningham, and their family, Stoney and Charity, Zarinska Morton and husband Shane of Paris; Jarvis Watson and Renee of Cunningham; Deanna Blevins and Reese of Paris, and their family, Brooklyn, Dillion, Rustin, Jordan, and Janae; Brad Watson and Rachel of Taylortown, and their family Bradlee, Brett, and Gavin, Bruce Watson and Vicki of Cunningham, and their family Crystal, Laci, Roy and Jesi.
