DIED: MARCH 14, 2002

Louie W. West, 84, of Fort Towson, Okla., died Thursday, March 14, 2002 in Paris.

Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo will conduct graveside services at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2002, at Fort Towson Cemetery with Bro. Bennie Hammons officiating. Viewing and visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born Feb. 26, 1918 in Stringtown, Okla., the son of Jud West and Frances Henry West. He married Betty Marie Castle on May 29, 1981 in Hugo.

Surviving are his wife, Betty West; five step-children; three sisters, Leone “Sissy” Phillips of Wright City, Okla., Mary Frances French of Hugo, and Swanee Ingram of Mena, Ark.; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, friends and good neighbors.
