WHISENHUNT, JOSEPHINE (HAMPTON)

DIED: DECEMBER 1, 2002

Services for Josephine Whisenhunt, of Soper, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Greenhill Baptist Church in Talihina. The Rev. Wayne Scott will officiate the ceremony. He will be assisted by the Rev. Ernie Baker. Interment will follow at the Greenhill Cemetery in Talihina.

Josephine Whisenhunt died Dec. 1, 2002 at the Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers. She was 73.

Josephine was born June 2, 1929 in LeFlore County to Emmett Hampton, Sr. and Louisa (Billy) Hampton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dosie Whisenhunt; a daughter, June Hampton, two sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Daisy Colbert of Antlers and JoAnn Colbert; two brothers, Emmett Hampton, Jr. of Talihina and Warren Washburn of Ardmore; one half sister, Lizzie David of Antlers and two grandchildren.

The Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo is handling the funeral arrangements.
