DIED: JANUARY 21, 1999

Funeral services for Harrell Williams, 64, resident of Hugo, will be held Saturday, January 23, 1999, at 11 a.m., at Victory Baptist Church in Hugo under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Rev. Dick McClure and Rev. Doug McClure will officiate. Interment will be at Springs Chapel Cemetery at Hugo, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams passed away on Thursday, January 21, 1999, at Paris, TX. He was born September 14, 1934 in Poteau, OK, to Reginald Bell and Ann Williams. Williams was a member of the Choctaw Indian tribe and the Goodland Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Goodland Indian School in 1954. Thereafter, Harrell served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 30 years of service. After retiring, he was self-employed as a telephone technician.

He and his wife, Margie, were married on January 27, 1957. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by six daughters, Patricia Royston of Spring, TX; Cynthia Berger of Anchorage, Alaska; Harlyn Redwine of New Orleans, LA; Julia Holt of Katy, TX; Vicki Williams of Wichita Falls, TX and Tammie Williams of Hugo, OK; five brothers, James Kenneth of Grand Prairie, TX; David of Pocola, OK; Neal of Gilmer, TX; Reggie Don of Idabel, OK and Robert (Bob) of Hugo, OK; two sisters, Ramona McCready of Senecca, MO and Virginia Johnson of Poteau, OK; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
