WILSON, EUGENE “BO”

Services for Eugene “Bo” Wilson were held Monday, March 14, 2005 in the Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel in Hugo.
Mr. Wilson died March 12, 2005 in Mead, Oklahoma. He was 86.
Bo was a longtime resident of Choctaw County. He was active in veteran’s organizations and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and the Korean War.
He was a member of the VFW Post #5805 of Fort Towson and was former Oklahoma State Commander of the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo.
Bo was born November 28, 1917 in Swink, Oklahoma, the son of W.E. “Gene” Wilson and Louise (Cooper) Wilson, and had lived most of his life in Hugo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Heloise Wilson; two daughters, Mary Sue Burris and Rebecca Gail “Becky” Wilson; three brothers, Gordon Wilson, Charles Wilson and Joe Wilson; one sister, Carolyn Taylor and one granddaughter.
He married Ruth Young on October 20, 2004 in Hugo, Oklahoma.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Ruth Wilson; two sons, Cokey Wilson, Amarillo, Texas and David McCalinan, Clardy, Texas; two daughters, Leslie Draper, Grant, Oklahoma and Kim Cox, Wills Point, Texas; one stepson, Johnny Young of Nevada; four step-daughters, Delores Hill, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Susan Walker of Dallas, Texas, Gin Young, Sawyer, Oklahoma and Corrine Young, also of Sawyer, Oklahoma; three brothers, Allen Wilson, Longview, Texas, Wade Wilson, McLeod, Texas, and Harold “Toby” Wilson of Pattonville, Texas; six sisters, Marjorie Petty, Valliant, Oklahoma, Louise Coffey, Millerton, Oklahoma, Gloria Bicknell, Valliant, Oklahoma, Doris Coleman, Shawnee, Oklahoma, Wilma Ruth Wright, Midwest City, Oklahoma and Wanda Jones, Ardmore, Oklahoma; 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Mutt Wallace officiated the service and burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo.
