The Boswell News – August 4, 1932
Transcribed by Ron Henson for OKCHOCTA
Paul Drumright, aged 15 years, met a tragic death under a freight train in the railroad yards at Soper last Sunday afternoon about 1 o’clock. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Drumright who live a few miles north of Soper.
Funeral services and burial was held at the Walker cemetery Monday morning about 10 o’clock.
According to witnesses Paul attempted to board an east bound freight Sunday just after noon, and was flung under the cars. His body was badly mangled, his right arm and leg being severed from the body. Death was instantaneous.
The parents and relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
[transcriber’s note: Walker cemetery is now known as Hart-Walker]
