William Louis Hicks Dies

    William Louis Hicks, aged 65 years passed away Monday, September 25th, at the home of his son, Clarence Hicks, where he made his home.

    Mr. Hicks was a well known resident of the Boswell community. He was born at Merrill, Tenn., Sept. 16, 1867. He was married to Miss Vira Whitehead 40 years ago and to this union was born five sons, two of whom have passed on to the Great Beyond. Those surviving him are Clarence, Allie and Earl. He is also survived by six grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.

    Mr. Hicks professed a faith in Christ many years ago and united with the Baptist Church. Among some of the last things he said was that he was going to rest.

    Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.W. Moran, Tuesday, Sept. 27th, and interment made in the Boswell cemetery.

    Three of the Whitehead brothers of Ector, Texas, who were brothers-in-law of Mr. Hicks, attended Mr. Hicks funeral.
