In Memory of Little V.H. Morrison
The Boswell News – April 14, 1932
Transcribed by Ron Henson for OKCHOCTA
The Angel of Death has again visited in our midst, snatching a bud from the home of Wayland Morrison and wife, taking their only little one, V.H.
He was a very bright child and an interesting talker, with a logical mind for one of so tender age. He was loved by all who knew him. We often wonder why these little ones that are so dear to our hearts are taken from us just as they begin to bud into sweet childhood. But such was the condition brought upon us by the transgression in the Garden of Eden, and thus it will be until the end of time.
There is nothing we can say here that will alleviate the agony of soul that the parents of the child are suffering. Time alone can heal the wound. There is a hope we hold out to the bereaved loved ones; as David said, whom God took his child to punish him for a sin he had committed: “I shall got to him, but he shall not return to me,” and then when we meet on the other side we have the blessed promise that, “God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes; and there shall be no more death; neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away.” Having this hope and promise, dear ones, let us live that we may meet little V.H. on the beautiful Golden Shore.
A friend, E.F. Morgan
