Negro boy

Negro Boy Killed by Truck Saturday
The Boswell News – September 22, 1932
Transcribed by Ron Henson for OKCHOCTA

A negro boy, whose name was not learned, was run over and killed by a truck South of Boswell Saturday afternoon, while attempting to catch the truck for a ride. O.E. Snow, driver of the truck, was exonerated of any blame in connection with the death. It was an unavoidable accident caused by carelessness of the negro. The negro was about 14 years old, and according to word was trying to catch a ride and was thrown under the wheels of the truck. Two wheels of the heavy loaded lumber truck passed over his body. He died a short time later.
