Ed Vance Killed Wed. Afternoon

Ed Vance, aged 60 years and residing northwest of Boswell was run over and killed at about 11:30 Wednesday by an automobile driven by S.A. Jones of Durant.
Vance and Webb Burns were walking down the highway coming to town when Jones drove up behind and sounded his horn and Vance is said to have jumped in front of the car as if scared by the sound of the horn. All witnesses of the accident state that it was unavoidable on the part of Jones. Mr. Vance was rushed to town and first aid treatment was administered by Dr. J.F. Gee but he died about two hours later.
Mr. Vance is survived by his wife and seven children.
Funeral arrangements await word from relatives residing at distant places.
