Eza Maye Adams

    Funeral services for Eza Maye Adams of Hugo were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Kregg Matson officiating. Interment will be in Everidge Family Cemetery in Hugo.
    Mrs. Adams died December 19, 2004, at her home. She was 81.
    She was born March 31, 1923 in Hugo, the daughter of John Leavy McFarland and Susan Florence (Everidge) McFarland. She attended Goodland School through the 10th grade. She was also a welder in the Richmond, Calif. shipyards during World War II. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Calvin B. Cowger on March 10, 2001; one sister, Mattie Palmer; and two brothers, Edward W. "Mac" McFarland and Calvin Clark McFarland.
    SURVIVING RELATIVES: her husband Bennie Adams of Hugo; one son, Edward M. Cowger of Corning, Calif.; one daughter, Susan L. Christensen, of Fairfield, Calif.; one step son, Bennie Clinton of Albany, Okla; two step daughters, Lori Henderson of Calera and Kim Robinson of Bryan County; one brother, David H. Hightower of Corning, Calif.; one sister, Marie McClain of Hugo; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
    The family received friends from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the funeral home.
