Mildred Dixon

Memorial services for Mildred Dixon of Antlers were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2004, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Antlers with Steve Chapman officiating.
Mrs. Dixon died Sunday, December 12, 2004, at Antlers Nursing Home. She was 89.
Mildred Dixon was born August 31, 1915 in Ft. Smith, Ark., the daughter of Oren & Zelda (Hall) Bunch. She was the wife of over 50 years to Jack Dixon until his death in 1980. She was baptized April 1952 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and she spent the last 50 years engaging in the ministry door-to-door, conducting Home Bible Studies from Hugo and Antlers areas to Tulsa and Cleveland, Okla., then to the Bahamas at age 72, with her sister, where they spent years witnessing on the islands.
Surviving relatives: Two daughters, Sue Brown of Grass Valley, Calif.; Joan Langan of Antlers; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
