Nancy Jane Handleman

    Loved by many and never forgotten. There was a memorial for Nancy Jane Handleman at 1 p.m. Dec. 31, 2002 at the Hugo Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Jim Moore officiated the ceremony.
    Nancy died Dec. 27, 2002 at the Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Paris, Texas. She was 57.
     Nancy was born April 5, 1945 near Albany, N.Y.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Ada McAdam in 2000 and her father, Howard Barnett McAdam, Sr., in 2001.
    She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert N. Handleman, of Bluff; three children, Robert Lance and wife Monica, also of Bluff, Larry Wayne and wife Geneva, of Sweetwater, Tenn. and Naomi Lynn of Hugo; five grandchildren, Jesse Garon Cooley and Chelsea Jayne Handleman of Sweetwater, Tenn., Christopher Lee, Travis Dean and Nathan Charles “Charlie Brown” Handleman of Bluff; three siblings, Howard Barnett McAdam, Jr., of Alvarado, Texas, Robert Lewis McAdam and wife Carolyn Sue of Cleburne, Texas and Mary McAdam of Tucson, Ariz.; and multiple nieces and nephews.
    The Mt. Olive Funeral Home in Hugo is handling the funeral arrangements.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to the Paris Regional Cancer Center in Paris, Texas.
