Charles A. “Jack” Meredith

At his request there will be no memorial service for Charles A. “Jack” Meredith, age 79.
Mr. Meredith died Sept 7, 2003 at North Bay Hospital in Fairfield, California, after a short illness.
A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Meredith lived in Suisun Valley, California, for 33 years. He was a popular figure known by all local ranchers and businesses. He leaves behind many good neighbors, friends and business associates.
Mr. Meredith was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served five years in the South Pacific during World War II.
He worked as an Operating Engineer, retiring from the Edoco Company in Long Beach after 40 years of service. He was a highway concrete cutting and leveling expert and had worked in every state in the United States during his career.
During his active employment and since retirement, he has operated his ranch in Suisun Valley. He was a member of the Solano County Farm Bureau.
Mr. Meredith is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Angelina, his son, James Meredith and daughter Judy Ketchum of Hugo, Oklahoma, brother, Carl and sister-in-law Erma of Melrose, N.M., nephew Donald of Sparks, Nevada and nephew Gerald of Ft. Towson, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are being handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 West Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, California 94533.
Interment is private.
