Mary Francis Potts

    Former Sawyer, Okla., resident, Mary Francis Potts, 74, of Haughton, La., went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 21, 2004. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2004 at Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel, Hugo.
    Mary, lovingly known as Memaw & Memee, was born September 9, 1930 to George and Elizabeth Reed in Casville, Mo. Mary and Joel Potts were united in marriage in Las Vegas, Nev. and later resided in Norman, Okla. She was blessed with five children. Mary loved caring for her family and later watching her grandchildren grow. She knew and loved Jesus and was a member of the Robinson Street Baptist Church in Norman.
    Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Joel Lafayette Potts; and sisters Veela Reed and Betty Merriman.
    Her survivors include sons Lonnie of Oklahoma City, Jody and wife Charlotte, of Waldron, Ark., Tommy and wife Tonya of Norman, Okla.; daughters, Connie and husband Rodney Marsh of White Sands, N.M., Pamela and husband, Kevin Keeler, Sr. of the home. She had 12 beautiful grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She also had several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was truly loved by her family and will be deeply missed.
    Her final resting place will be at Spencerville Cemetery in Spencerville, Okla.
