Homer Lee Songer

Services for Homer Lee Songer, of Sawyer, were at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 31, 2002 at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. Bro. Mutt Wallace officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Swink Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 30, 2002 at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.
Homer Lee Songer died Dec. 28, 2002 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was 84.
Homer Lee Songer was born Feb. 18, 1918 in Sawyer to George H. Songer and Ruby (Petty) Songer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Viola (Bowden) Songer and two brothers, Ray Songer and Harol Songer.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Jackson of Sawyer; four sisters, Gracie Potts of Norman, Delma Miller of Redlands, Calif.; four brothers, Curtis “Buster” Songer of Norman, Vester Songer of Hugo, George Songer of Sonora, Calif. and Carol Songer of Needles, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
The Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
